A Little Haul

Walking through the aisles of Sephora can be quite overwhelming unless you have a general idea of what you want. On this occasion I wanted to pick up some makeup for an upcoming tutorial. (Below) After an hour of swatching and Jack patiently waiting, I managed to find some makeup gems!

Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Desdemona -A rich shimmering Burgundy. I was instantly sold on this as soon as I swatched it. It has a beautiful subtle duo-chrome quality to it which only translates when used wet. The formula is easily blended, not chalky or patchy in the slightest. I think it's one of the those eyeshadows that when applied looks like multiple shades blended together. Make sense?

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream - This stuff is seriously waterproof and creaseproof. It dries in seconds so you have to master your application method. I found it easier when applied with my finger, just in a tapping motion. I tend to get the most even coverage that way too.

Clinique High Impact Mascara - Yep I bought this one because of a certain YouTuber. Honestly, I like it but it doesn't blow me away or make me fall off my chair. Right off the bat I can tell you, It's black, very black. You're probably thinking, "Well all mascaras are black!" Believe it or not, some drugstore and even higher-end mascara formulas aren't perfectly black. The high impact is a perfect black! It didn't lengthen my lashes more than other mascara but it did a nice job at defining them and adding volume. It's also very comfortable on the lashes and around the eyes. Trust me, I have worn contacts since the age of ten.

Sephora Pro Precision Foundation Brush/58 - I was on the hunt for a more precise foundation brush since I don't honestly wear foundation all over my face, only in areas of redness. Then I came across this beauty, now for me personally it's a little too 'precise.' It's a little too time consuming, although I do think it would be ideal for more controlled application such as highlighter and cream contour.

Sephora Travel kit (only in stores) - Since hitting the gym every morning (pat on the back), I have conjured up a daily makeup routine I do in around ten minutes. I wanted to keep things super organised and paired down which resulted me in buying this travel kit. I mix and match the bags on a daily basis, if I'm heading into the city for a few hours I will always carry my 'Touch Ups' bag. The makeup and toiletries only remains in my bag for gym days. The simple things in life.

So this pretty much sums up my newest purchases. I'd love to know all about your newest makeup purchase! What is on your wish list?
